We have already shared with you delicious dishes made of yuba.
Yuba, or tofu skin, is made from a film formed on the surface of boiled soy milk. And yuba sashimi is a perfect way of eating raw yuba.
Many different restaurants offer them in Nikko area, as a separate dish or as part of a menu (usually a vegetarian set).

There are several stores and restaurants where you can find them in Nikko, but you can eat delicious fried maitake mushrooms at Steakhouse Mihashi, next to Kanaya Hotel and Shinkyo Bridge.
Mihashi is one of the few steakhouses in Tochigi Prefecture that serves the “Tochigi Wagyu”, so you can try the maitake mushroom and also their unique steaks.
